Academy Awards 2014

The Annual Sharks Academy Awards were held at Growthpoint KINGS PARK to honour the players who have achieved this season, from the gym, to the lecture room to the field.

The Sharks Academy has a proud record of producing Sharks players as well as those who make the step up to the international stage, and this year is no different. Those players are role-models for all the boys.

The Academy produced six new Sharks in 2014 (Thomas du Toit, Khaya Majola, Cameron Wright, Hanco Venter, Andre Esterhuizen and Johan Meyer) as well as the four official SA Under 20 reps (Thomas du Toit, Andre Esterhuizen, Jean Luc du Preez and Jean Luc du Plessis) with Daniel du Preez missing out due to injury and Neil Maritz being very unlucky to miss out on final selection after taking part in most of the warm-up games.
